He'd been to Seattle once but like most places he'd visited, he hadn't exactly been allowed to go out and enjoy the sights. The only real view he got was the back of a van. No one was forcing him to go anywhere anymore. Bucky relished every second of that freedom. It wasn't that long ago really that HYDRA had him leashed and muzzled. Even less time since Shuri had been able to break their control words in his mind. He owed her his life. And Ayo. If only he could see them now and tell them how far he'd come, thanks to their help. Though maybe they wouldn't be so eager to hear about his adventures once they found out who he was going on them with. It was, oddly enough, Bucky who had suggested going shopping to Zemo. The vampires and werewolves seemed to stick to the streets only once it was dark which left plenty of time during the day to go out and enjoy the city. Zemo was itching to go out and Bucky didn't have it in his heart to stop him. He still kept his eyes open for anything that appeared out of the ordinary. And for anything tasty. The food in Seattle smelled too tempting to ignore. There were so many little shops to try from! Everything that ranged from blonde-roasted coffee (he didn't like that) to beer-battered fish and chips (he had a lot of that) and everything else in between. He'd even grabbed a carrot-ginger-turmeric smoothie before perusing the clothing shops with Zemo. The Sokovian had a certain nose for style that was, honestly? Immaculate. Watching Zemo get dressed was almost like watching a sculptor mold his creation. Everything was carefully thought out and layered together with seemingly no effort. Bucky wasn't much for style as he was for comfortability and functionality. But he'd started stealing more and more from Zemo's side of the closet lately. He was developing a taste for the finer things. All Zemo's fault, of course. Not that it looked like he minded taking Bucky around and trying on clothes. He was presently half-naked in a dressing room, pulling on some pieces that Zemo had picked out for him. The shop smelled like honey and lemon reminding him of spring. And made him a little hungry again. But first, showing off a bit. "I don't know about this one," Bucky mumbled quietly as he pulled the suit jacket on and let it settle on his shoulders. He took a quick look in the mirror, adjusted everything a third time and then sighed before opening the dressing room door. He stood awkwardly, unable to stop pulling at the sleeves even though they were fine. "Alright, well. How do I look? Classy?" |
