Pree's nostrils flared when he was presented with Conrad's forearm. Some instinct did respond to the offering, but Pree still had enough self-control to only grip Conrad's wrist, his fingers locking tighter around the limb than he'd meant them to.
"Oh, I'm sorry, darling..." He relaxed his grip with considerable effort. Had Conrad always smelled so appealing? "I'm a little slow this morning - did you say to bite you?" Conrad had; Pree swallowed, suddenly salivating. "I can appreciate a man who knows what he wants and goes for it, but are you quite sure? I had no idea you felt that way..." The part of him that was still human Pree, still clinging desperately to humor and issues of consent slipped away until all he could hear was Conrad's pulse, fluttering faithfully beneath his skin.
It was a strange offer, but Pree had been propositioned in far more unusual ways than this. And Conrad was a friend. A good friend. Who was Pree to deny him?
He didn't make the conscious though to dig his teeth into Conrad's wrist, but suddenly it was happening. For the first time in his life, Pree had did something quickly, so quick the human eye couldn't catch it. For the first time, too, he was sucking someone's blood out of their vein. And it was the best thing he'd ever tasted.
