"Five, ten, whatever We can make that happen," Max said. He'd let her drink as much as she wanted. Well, no. He was smart enough to realise he wasn't letting her do anything. She did what she wanted to do. He wasn't going to try and stop her, though. If she wanted to drink five, she'd drink fine, simple as that.
She was smart not to trust Max. He was generally in it to win it, and looking out for number one was his priority. He hadn't learned any big life lessons about being more aware of other people just because he'd been seconds from death when he showed up at the hotel.
