He was officially ranting, and Richie had his chin rested on his palm in a way that showed her was listening attentively - like a best friend ought to, really. Plus it was interesting. If not a little bit confusing. "If he was such a bad dude -- and it sounds like he is -was? -- why did you even try and help him?" Richie very much wanted to know. "Because honestly, he sounds like the kinda guy I wouldn't piss on if he was on fire." Then again, it was possible Richie just wasn't as good a person as his new BFF.
As for his drama -- Richie paused, uncertain of what counted these days or even where to start. "So, I said my issue was a child killing alien clown, right? Did I mention the part where it lived under the city I grew up in and made the whole town evil? Well. Maybe not evil. Just... willing to overlook it, I guess. IT ate my best friend's little brother, so me and the Losers, -- eleven year old idiots had to go down into the sewers to try and kill it ourselves."
