Molly had decided to go to the gala, even though she was fairly new to the Crown Plaza. A party like this and rooming with people reminded her of Hogwarts and she liked that. She has managed to wrap her head around the fact that another version of herself continued on living her own life back home with Arthur, in their rightful time and place, so no one was looking for her. She was not missing.
Even so, the magical earrings she's heard others talk about that allowed those interested to ground themselves to this place, were not something that she sought out for herself. If she disappeared from this location and returned home, she wouldn't be broken up about it. And if she didn't go anywhere, perhaps she was meant to stay and get to know her children as adults, and she would accept that as part of the adventure.
So she might as well participate in the revelries while she was here. She didn't feel right attending with anyone so she went by herself. Thanks to Sabrina taking measurements, Molly donned a dress of red with fiery gold accents and a matching Venetian mask for the masquerade. She was actually having a good time.
Molly slipped out of the ballroom, into the lobby, for a breather. And nearly tripped over the man on the floor. "Sorry!" She stumbled back a few paces. At first, the slumped position made her suspect a drunk partygoer. Until she noticed he was bleeding. "OH!" Molly fell to her knees beside the bleeding person. "Are you-" No, of course he was not alright. That would be a stupid question. "What happened?"
