"Oh it's worse," Sirius assured him, hands tucked into his pockets as he moved before he pulled out the chair to sit across from Severus, hands folded on the table, empty as well just to make it clear he wasn't jumping to grab his wand as he took a seat. He was tired, he'd hoped his talk with Regulus might have gained him a little bit of clarity but it just made things worse, and the party had been a bad choice as well. But Sirius had a hard time skipping out on a party entirely.
He shrugged a little though, "I wasn't totally sure I was going to either." He admitted. Still not sure this was going to go well either. His attempt at a talk with Regulus hadn't gone well and he hadn't even been trying to explain what he was currently feeling. That had very quickly turned into the same old recriminations from Regulus and Sirius just hadn't been interested in trying to have that particular conversation.
Sirius didn't know how to start this, or what Snape wanted to hear from him, or what he wanted to hear from Snape too - but he knew they needed to talk. "I didn't kill them." He said finally. "I didn't give them up."
