Avoiding each other forever in a place as small as the Crown Plaza seemed unlikely, even if they'd managed to do it for about a month before they'd been thrown into the unfortunate situation that had would be from here out called The Tethering. It wouldn't have lasted forever though -- eventually they'd have ended up in the same room on accident or in some other kind of fucked up Hotel Scheme that involved having to tough it out in unfortunate ways.
It was best they cleared the air as best as was possible between the two of them before having to deal with the next big thing. As best as possible probably still wouldn't be very good, but perhaps they could both get some peace of mind knowing there wasn't someone waiting to kill them just lurking around the corner. Or, there was one less person anyway.
"I'm sure it's just as hideous as I'm picturing," Severus said, and while he had been reading, he closed the book and pushed it to the side enough where he could fold his hands together on the table, a move that said he had no intention of doing harm. "I didn't think you'd come."
