Nyx stopped and snapped his fingers. "Damn it. You're right. Not suppose to kill the training partner."
Still not moving from the place he stopped in the hall he turned fully to Mikasa. "Honestly, if you did want to do some training, we can do such. Stay on our toes in case we have anything that needs to come up." Nyx shrugged. Continue their walk, Nyx thought about his world a bit. What was left of it at his departure. "My world. Well, I lived in a city called Insomnia, which was under King Lucis. He was a wise, and brave man. A good man." Nyx thought aloud. "When me and my people were pushed from our home in Galahd, he took us in. We're a proud people, and when we learned we could harness the magic of the crown, most of us took opportunity to enlist and help." He shrugged, because he knew he was among the front runners to join. "Though our landscape is plagued at night by deamons. They are fierce monsters that come out, but avoid light. So the cities have lights that keep them at bay. We already talked about Niflheim. But, those are just the bad things. I've seen a bit of our lands and there is a great many beautiful sights."
Nodding thoughtfully. "It's not something you can just turn off. The soldier mentality is drilled in, and just second nature." He walked in somewhere, he still picked out warp points or exits. "Well, we don't talk much, honestly." He laughed. "Blades are just tools. They become a weapon in the hands of those like me and you- or those who wish to do harm to innocents. What makes a weapon good, is who wields that power." Though Nyx sighed softly. "It's unfortunate, that power sometimes corrupts and sullies that tool's edge." A traitor's weapon one might say.
"I tell you what, if you do not wish to reach out to them for educational purposes, I would be honored to teach you to read." Nyx offered. "I am no scholar, but I can help you."
He shook his head. "Destiny is a tricky thing, it guides you down a path and you have to make your decisions as they come. A stone to hold me down, I don't see a reason for it." Ultimately Nyx just shrugged about it.
