"I was sixteen when I finished my military training and lived with other soldiers," she said with a shrug. "It wasn't that long ago either. Do you think I'm a kid, too, and I would be very careful about that answer, because I can fight you," she said with a wink. "And that's true, but a war that can kill billions of people at once seems even worse than most wars." That was the crux of the matter. "No one knew him, that's the point. I don't want to be here and not meet people. It's a wasted opportunity."
She sighed. "I keep wondering if we're meant to stay here and the ones who go back have some unfinished business. After all, once we come here, there are two people who share the same memories up until that point. If I go home, whether I'm alive or dead there, who I am now, ceases to exist. Maybe we're meant to live both lives."
