Abigail had a hard time knowing what was real when she woke up. Her nightmares were intense and there was often lingering feelings, and even being able to hear a certain voice from her past, as if he were in the room with her instead of dead back home. She'd been told the psychological terms for her trauma and expected to learn more from Will. Logic and knowledge didn't help when she was in this state. It only made things worse when she was pulled out of her room so quickly and fell into the arms of a man. Or had he caught her?
In Abigail's confused state, it felt intentional, like a kidnapping. Danger was everywhere. Her eyes grew wide and she instinctively reached for a knife that wasn't there. It was safely back in her room, only she couldn't think that clearly. She felt her heart speeding up and her breathing along with it. She wanted to scream or fight, but her body wouldn't cooperate. She felt frozen as if it was her father or Hannibal holding her, instead of a fellow hotel guest. "What's happening?" She managed to stammer out.
