"I have had to take care of some more aggressive ghosts since I arrived here and they know I can put them away if I have to." He answered. "So, yes, it is part of what I can do. And, unfortunately, I can't send us home." Dan could stand a lot of questions, all the ones that bubbled up inside of Lois would be answered as well as he could possibly do. Not every answer would sate the question, but he could only give her what he knew. It would be a test run for the inevitable questions from his offered class.
"Time here doesn't move normally. Your children are safe and you're not entirely gone. It can be a strange thought, but it's probably for the best that they aren't here." Without children and no intention of having children, Dan could only use his sense of protection for Abra to relate to the situation Lois was in. Dan knew he had no future that involved a wife or kids, but he was more than happy- now- to be Abra's 'Uncle.' "We can all be more open about who we are here, that's true."
"What Abra and I have is not common. Everyone has a little bit of Shine, that gut feeling that tells you the information you have no way of knowing. Mothers have the Shine so easily through their connection with their children, but socially it's not acceptable to know things you shouldn't." He folded his hands together. "It's normal if you don't have the Shine. No monsters walking in the daylight," he chuckled. "I change the subject not because of the world itself but the things I've been through."
