Who: Peggy Carter, Thor Odinson
What: Googling Spaceships
Where: Lobby of the Crown Plaza
When: Backdated to 7/27
Status: On-going
Warnings: Some language perhaps but probably light.
Tight and bundled would make a wonderful descriptor for just about anything other than one's posture or body positioning. Yet, that seemed to be a consistent struggle when operating Midgard technology. So much sitting down and hunching over. It was a true test of the entire core, as well as the hip flexors and chest muscles to keep the frame erect as Thor toggled his way through the internet. His mighty paw pressed the rolling ball of the mouse against the pad, numerous clicks sent rectangular screens in and out of the monitor's display, along with a considerable amount of grunting every time he couldn't get the machine to operate exactly as he desired.
Nevertheless, he had somehow managed to hold the attention of Peggy Carter, located to his right, eyes fixated on the monitor as Thor continued to search through the screens. He had already managed to show her The Benetar, and the tales of his time with the Guardians of the Galaxy had managed to segue into a search for information about his own home. There was something therapeutic that came from utilizing this time to recant stories of Asgard. Now, with the reality of Thor's current situation still sinking in, he could connect with his bygone home by watching the wonder in Peggy's eyes as he spoke. There wasn't much that he could visually show her on the computer aside from what little information from Jane Foster's findings existed online, but what he was able to do was answer and elaborate on any questions she might've had. Hopefully those questions didn't dwell too long on the state of Thor's relationship with the aforementioned. though the recounted history itself did harken back to a certain campfire conversation had years ago.
"What your ancestors once called magic, you probably refer to as science. I come from a place where they are one in the same..."
Another grunt.
He had had enough of sitting in this confounded computer chair.
Rising to a stand and opening the drawer to retrieve a pen and paper, with which he would furiously go to town, audibly scribbling.
Finally turning back to Peggy to display a newly drawn diagram that made perfect sense to Thor, and hopefully wouldn't look like chicken scratch to Peg.
"Your world, what you call Earth, we call Midgard. Midgard is one of nine realms connected by the branches of Yggdrasil. There's Niflheim, Vanaheim..."
Using his fingers to trace the aforementioned invisible branches and listing off each realm, leaving Asgard for last as the impromptu lesson continued.
