"Precisely.
In fact, when I first met Steve Rogers and the Avengers, we were initially tasked to keep the Tesseract away from my brother Loki. The situation obviously... progressed from there."
Thanos, and the subsequent effort to reverse the snap was still so fresh in memory, it was almost a shock to the system for Thor to realize how many of his trials on Earth directly or indirectly revolved around the Space Stone alone before the remainder of the Infinity Spectrum would be immersed into the conflict. It was equally stunning to come to the realization that prior to the decade-long saga involving the stones, names like Steve Rogers and Bruce Banner were foreign to the Thunderer. It only drove home how vital this campaign had been to Thor's identity. That after centuries of battles and conquests and glory, it was only in these past ten years or so that Thor had truly come to know himself, and even that journey of self-exploration seemed to only just be beginning.
Equally striking was the candor of one Peggy Carter. From their conversation thus far, he could sense a great appetite for discovery. She clearly had already been brought up to speed on so much by Steve Rogers, yet here she was, ready to dig even deeper. And sure, one could chalk it up to her being from a different time period, or that so many of Thor's Midgardian colleagues were American. Still, something about Peggy set her apart from most women Thor encountered. He couldn't help but find himself growing equally curious of her story.
"From what I recall, Steve Rogers has touted Agent Carter as being rather integral to the formation of SHIELD. I trust you've seen your fair share of the battlefield as well."
