It was strange, this interaction that was happening right now. The cat had bumped it's little nose against Armitage's hand and suddenly, it had stepped in closer and was insisting on further affection; not unlike how Poe could get.
So there he was, Armitage Dameron, someone who didn't like animals, scratching under the feline's chin and smiling as it purred.
When the door opened, that smile dropped off his face, because it suddenly became very obvious that Poe was not only aware that the cat existed, but it belonged to him. And while Armitage was not against the idea of Poe having a pet (especially if it stayed in his room), he couldn't help but wonder if his husband had completely thought this through before making this decision.
