She'd noticed his looks and moved up next to him. Wesley immediately felt guilty. Sure, his suspicions were warranted. She had tried to kill him. And lied to him about a fucking lot but she hadn't done it to be malicious. It was exactly what he'd been trying to explain to Conrad. In her mind, it had all been for the greater good. It hadn't mattered if they'd been friends. His father's name had come up..."Everything they told you was a lie-" But it hadn't just been him that Sloan had fed those lies to. So he couldn't be angry with Fox. At least, not a lot.
"I don't have a thing for blondes!" At first, Wes acted offended. He was an equal opportunist when it came to people he was into. And it wasn't just the hair that got his attention. "You're not a blonde," was somehow the most logical argument to that. "Technically, Ciri's hair is more white anyway and-" woops, almost let that one slip out. Wes made a face. Technically, she'd only said that he liked blondes. Not that he'd preferred them. The proof was in the pudding though, wasn't it? "Well maybe I have a thing for blondes."
Fox was taking this whole thing pretty casually and it was making Wes feel uneasy. He'd been jumpy the whole first week he'd been here. The bar had been the first place he'd gone to. Booze had helped but it'd still been awhile before he felt as calm as Fox looked right now. "You're really alright with just relaxing by the pool, drinking mojitos and daquiris for as long as you like? You wouldn't get bored?" He shook his head and tried to focus as they hit another corner.
Speaking about being out of a job-
"So no hard feelings about breaking up the band? I swear the rats here aren't my doing this time."
