Dear Mr. Constantine,

Sabrina informed me that you have the means to keep us here. Both of us are interested. If I may inquire how it's done, I would appreciate the information. I have heard different stories (jewellery v. spells). I also heard about earrings. I'm not really the earring type, and if that's true, are there alternatives?

I thank you in advance for any assistance you might provide.

Good day to you, Mr Black. I have the means to keep you anchored to this island, if that is your wish. It's a fairly complex spell involving a binding of the bedrock of the island to the item in question. An earring would be the safer of the options and the one I would have most confidence in myself but if you wish to have a regular ring, it can be accomplished too.

The caveat to all of this is that the stone of the item of jewellery must, at all times, be in contact with your skin. Just having it on your person won't do the job.

I think a ring would be more my thing. I do have my ring with the family crest. Maybe we can modify it and add the stone.

Also I do hope that you will join us once we create a magical pocket in the library, just a place for people with magic to share what we know.

honestly, formality really doesn't suit me too much and I'm not that good at it. Forgive me if I fuck it up.

If it's a ring you keep on at all times, we can certainly attempt to alter it, though if it's precious you might just want a second band. I wouldn't want to damage something you hold dear.

I'm always interested in sharing knowledge with other practitioners, so you can definitely count me in on that.

Aye, better to have a new one than to damage something sentimental. I'll sort it out for you and in the meantime let you have a piece of the stone to keep with you. It needs to be in contact with your skin at all times. I should have the ring ready in a day or two, so you won't have to muck about with the stone for long.

Sounds like a great idea, does that. With so many different practitioners from such diverse worlds, we've all got a lot to learn from one another. I look forward to it.
