Natasha + John
Natasha thought that over for a moment as her eyes again scanned the room. "Yes and no," she finally decided. Her Avengers family had always been the more public one, the one that was scrutinized and criticized and was watched by the entire world. Her other, long-lost family that she'd only been reunited with once since she was a child was very different. It was private and tender, and something that she'd never talked about mostly because it was easier for her to live while lying to herself about how they were, somewhere out there.
The tickle didn't bother her, but she smirked anyway as she shifted her eyes back to him, and chuckled softly at his words about magic and passwords. Honestly, she didn't believe him because she'd seen others with magic and mystical forces be tripped up by simple science, but she opted not to call him out on that. Instead, he'd find out for himself someday.
"I'm glad you're a part of it, and that it doesn't make you want to run screaming in the other direction," Natasha said wryly, with another sip of her drink. In some ways, she wouldn't have blamed him if he had...but she was glad every day to wake up beside him and still have him there.
