They would likely never agree on matters involving the war. "It wasn't like I wanted to do all that I did. It is easy for someone like your father to say I had a choice. But, to me, I didn't." He fell silent on the subject then, choosing instead to focus on the friendly part of the discussion.
"Potions is an art. It was something I was equally skilled at. I was...focused on other things so never received as high of marks as some people." The word Granger was on his lips, but Draco didn't say it. "But I can brew as well as Snape can." He did lift a brow at the backhanded compliment, though. "My son is boring? What, because he's not a Gryffindor?"
There was no bite to that comment, though, not like he could have done. Draco felt they had reached an understanding at least on that matter, accepting the war for what it was and knowing they were different. For now, at least.
