Dieter nodded his agreement to that. "Some things just cannot be controlled." His smile went very coy when Pree asked him about trusting some people, about shared purpose. "I should tell you all about it some day, my last job. My crew and Mr. Vanderohe. And maybe even the bodies we found and what he said about them."
He lifted his gaze up as his jaw was cupped, lifted his hand to cover Pree's hand with his own. "I keep that locked up better than even a Wagner safe," he promised. "I can't imagine anything taking your spirit either," he remarked. Pree seemed the type who would be fabulous even at the end of all things.
