Neville wouldn't say he liked Snape. It was still hard to let go of everything he'd experienced as a kid with the man, but at the same time, he knew this man hadn't done any of that yet and their few interactions hadn't been...terrible. It was conflicting.
But he had wanted to try to make the dittany essence for a while and Snape would be the best one to help figure it out. And Neville wasn't really interested in broom riding or house rivalry at the moment either.
He wasn't sure if they'd be able to do everything in the room or if they had to go to the kitchen but he had gone and gotten some bowls and pots to work with and a few empty vials from the medical rooms to store the finished product, if they were successful.
He answered the door with a quick greeting and let Snape in. He was very careful to keep all of his plants on his side of the room but, because of that, there wasn't a lot of free space on that side of the room. He had cleared some space on top of a dresser though, and set the dittany to one side of it. "I don't have much for equipment but..." he shrugged a bit, "Figured there wasn't much else to work on."
