Although he had promised to join Dieter in the bar after just twenty minutes, it took almost twice that long for Pree to finally do so. He was still reeling from what he had found and no closer to knowing whether he was losing his mind or not. His message on the hotel's network had gone unanswered. Yet loitering in his room wouldn't help matters. Besides, he had promised Dieter he would fix him a drink and lend an ear.
Given what Dieter had said about last night, perhaps he might find his answers in the bar.
Dressed in a long black tunic, soft leggings, and miner's boots, Pree exhibited none of his usual embellishments. His earrings and bracelets were still in his room and he wore no makeup. Only his nails glittered, the fresh polish carelessly chipped but still glittering. He only wished it wasn't quite this shade of purple. It reminded him too much of what he had seen in room 312.
"Good morning," he greeted, his smile not touching his eyes. "Oh, darling, you do look like you haven't slept a wink."
