Mikasa looked around the library. It was so strange to have a room like this for no reason other than pleasure. She'd seen some books when visiting superior officers, but there were never these many books. "Do you think people have more than these in their worlds? There is so much here and everyone still complains that there's nothing."
She knew that she hadn't answered his question, but she wasn't sure how to answer. "The Commander answered what I asked, even if some of his answers were contradicted by his behavior," she finally said. "He says he's not my commander anymore; he didn't seem pleased when I questioned him." He had reacted exactly like a commanding officer would.
"Is there anything you want to know?" she asked. "Things have changed at home."
