Lily was a little nervous. She wasn't sure why - she had no reason to think Jamie would be anything but lovely. And he was family. He was Harry's son, and that automatically made her want to get to know him. As weird as it was thinking of her baby as a father (or herself as a granny), she'd take anything which made her feel a little bit closer to the little person she'd left behind.
Pushing open the door and trying very hard not to think of her own, grey-haired grandmother, Lily tucked a dark red lock behind her ear as she peered around the dining room. There were plenty of tables and chairs, all a dark, elegant wood, but it didn't seem as if her lunch companion was here yet. Stepping inside, she slowly made her way to an empty table towards the edge of the room, sliding into a chair and self-consciously smoothing out a crease in her jumper.
She hadn't been waiting long, one toe bouncing anxiously under the table, when the door swung open again. There he was. The man stepping into the room had to be him. A rush of something close to excitement rushed through Lily, and she smiled. Forgetting herself for a moment, she lifted her hand in a bright wave.
