There was a pause in Pyro's slicing of tomatoes he got the knife for. He considered how to phrase what he was going to say, and then just sighed. Turning to Peter he twirled the knife a bit. "It's not anything bad, or I don't think it is," He chewed on his lower lip. "You know Kitty? Shadowcat? Or whatever she goes by now-a-days?" He asked casually before looking back to the cutting board and the tomato.
"Well," Tapping his knife on the cutting board. "I'm not against the issue, I'm against me. I just don't understand where I make a qualified person to do any of it. Sure I wrote some trashy and shitty books," He commented and went back to cutting. "But my better part of my adult life was crime and terrorism." Which he figured you had to acknowledge your past. Sure, he felt justified, but it was what it was. Acknowledge the sins of your past or some bullshit.
"So what, when you're doing something wrong, and I agree I just go 'No no no! You stab him like this'." St. John commented while making stabbing motions at nothing. "That's what I'm getting at," Moving from the red fruit to the red onion, he cut more. "I know I have life experience, but I don't regret my experiences, and I don't regret my decisions- how do you tell a teenager to not do it, when you'd like do it again in some capacity?"
"Plus working for Iceman," John made a face that really just expressed his feelings on the topic. "I'm not keen." Kitty did say she'd run interference for him to let him more freedoms in his lessons.
