"You don't see what you're saying, do you? I died, because I made a decision. I chose to give up my life, knowing that I was giving someone else the opportunity to kill the Dark Lord," Regulus said. "You lot ended up fucking each other over." He wasn't one to curse, but Sirius brought out the worst in him. "In the end, the principled ones were the very Slytherins that you hated so much. Did you know that Severus is a hero? He died too, but he lived and died on his own terms. We made a difference."
Regulus nodded. "I know. You never cared about anyone but yourself." He tried to stay calm, although he wondered if he could hex Sirius and do damage in this place. "Are you this deluded? Really? You left me before you ever left the house. You came back from school in your first year and it was all about James Bloody Potter. I wanted him to disappear since before I met him. I became invisible the moment you met him. You left me, not our parents long before they kicked you out, and I didn't make any plans for you. I ended up inheriting your obligations, and you stand here and somehow you want to blame our lack of relationship on me? I was ten when you decided that you liked some strangers better than me, so don't try to blame me."
He shrugged. "Fine, do what you like. Lord knows you never cared about anything I had to say. Maybe if your mate stays with his wife, you'll decide to stay. It's not like they have anything to do at home except die. Or do you think they should go home?" He got up. "Do you know what you can do here? You can have a life. You can meet people. You can change. You can learn about beautiful things from different worlds, but you only care about Potter. So stay because if he goes home, he dies."
