You basically turned your back on it- on me, the moment you were sorted, and not because you were in Gryffindor, but because James Potter was apparently the greatest thing since the invention of fire. From what I hear, he's likely to go up in flames if you light anything up around him. All that booze."
He frowned. "And that question proves just how much you don't know me. It's Kreacher. Of course he should be here with me. He has been more family than you have. Besides, Sabrina used to cook for me. She's very good. I don't like to rely on people, though." Kreacher was the perfect solution.
"Among other things. Regardless of our lack of relationship, I do think you should stay. Or at the very least, use these earrings or whatever they are to stay here until you can have a better perspective. After all, an extended stay with the Dementors can't possibly be good for rational decisions. Not that you ever made those," he said with a sigh. "As for our relationship, we can have rules, so we don't annoy each other. The place is small and we can't avoid each other like we did in school."
