The hotel had its weird perks but when John came into his room the next time, another person was in the room.

That's odd.

Connor looked up from his weapon on the bed, and set it down.

"I'm presuming you are my new roommate and not a terminator out to kill me?"

It was also almost awkward because the woman who was his new roommate appeared to be a bit younger than him but also a soldier of some type. It wasn't the fact that she was female at all, it's the fact he was married already and had kids on the way at home.

The room seemed semi-quiet at the moment which both eased and almost made John tense up. Quiet usually meant something good and bad back in his world.

They hadn't spoken the night before when she had arrived and this morning, she had gone straight for the bath, before discovering the beauty of a shower. She had spent plenty of time taking the dirty of the mission off before heading to see Erwin. She had spent the rest of the day learning about the people here and did not return until evening.

"I don't know what a terminator is," she said as she made it to her bed. She sat down and took her boots off and then methodically stripped down to her underwear and bra. She had found night clothes here, and those weren't always something she had with her, not on missions. She planned to take advantage of the opportunity as long as it lasted.

"I only kill enemies. If you aren't one, then we are fine," she said as she sat in bed, wondering what people did here, with none of their friends.
