Armitage watched with uneasiness as anger began to spark within his boyfriend. At least lately, he didn't fear that Ben would actually hurt him if a tantrum arose. Even if he was upset about the mask, Armitage was well aware that Ben wouldn't let it out on him. Certainly not in the way he would have in the past.
..the office, on the other hand, might suffer a different fate. Hence why Armitage had chosen not to do this in his own room.
But to his surprise, that bomb that was normally Ben's temper defused itself, and suddenly, his lover was kneeling before him. A gentle laugh escaped him, both out of relief and amusement. Because, deep down, some part of him did enjoy hearing Ben call him that, even if their First Order days were well behind them.
"Look how well-behaved you've become. So loyal, so obedient." A hand reached out, his fingertips trailing along the curve of Ben's jawline. "And obedience is always rewarded." His thumb smoothed over Ben's lips. He knew what his boyfriend was playing at. They had joked on several occasions how they wished they'd still had their uniforms in order to revisit what should have happened aboard the Supremacy. All the same, Armitage was worried that Ben was bottling his feelings rather than dealing with them. So, in an attempt to both keep up this game they were playing and subtly check on his beloved, he leaned over the mask in his lap, pressing a kiss to his mouth; an action that would alert the ginger immediately if Ben was troubled and trying to hide it.
