"I'll tell you all about it," He promised her with a soft laugh, it was strange to feel like he'd lived both lives, and maybe he had after all - it was hard to say. "We were older before Jonathan came along, we took our time before we got to that point." They could talk more about it later if she wanted he could tell her everything about that life, but what really mattered was the life they were living together now - in Smallville with the boys, starting off on a new adventure together.
He agreed, "Yes, I guess some things transcend whatever strange magic is at work here at the hotel." They'd known one another regardless of their current place in their timelines, though even that seemed to be off still. But at least they had confirmation they were from the same place, that settled a part of him even if they were still a little out of step. "I know we will, we always do." Together, that was the important thing.
Listening as Lois laid out what she knew for him, Clark wasn't sure how to wrap his head around all of it. he had a brother, his mother's son. And he'd been there on Earth all along, during those times when Clark had thought he was alone, he'd been there. He frowned as she went on saying that she'd been a corrupting influence in his life. "If you corrupted me, then I must have been very badly off before we ever met." He said shaking his head at the very suggestion that she had somehow damaged him like it seemed Morgan had suggested. Lois had only ever made Clark the best version of himself, sure their lives were complicated and strange at times, but they were good together. "Contingencies are good, it's never a bad idea to try and cover all your bases." He agreed, as much as it felt impossible for him to be turned by anyone, he wanted Lois to do what she needed to in order to keep herself and the boys safe. "I don't ever want to be something you or anyone else fears, that's never been what I stood for. If it comes down to it-" He trailed off. "I know you'll make the right choice." It wouldn't be him if he truly had been turned against the world he loved.
