"You'd try to find me? Really?" Conrad was smiling. He didn't even know where he'd be in the year 2009, or if he'd even still be alive. But the thought itself was incredibly sweet. "I don't know if my seventy-two-year-old self would be much fun, but I know I'd be happy to see you if you did find me."
It was then he tilted his head, leaning in and taking a better look at that earring. He had seen someone post about it over the Network, but Conrad was something of a skeptic when it came to things like that. Magic, spells. Conrad had seen some crazy things in his life, but even he had a limit on what he was willing to believe. He certainly didn't want to pierce his ear over a scam. But if it was real, it would absolutely be worth it.
"Do you think that man is telling the truth? That this earring does what it claims to?" And if it did, then Wesley had made quite the commitment, hadn't he? One that he could easily change his mind on and take the tiny piece of jewelry out if he truly wanted to. But clearly Wesley had been thinking about sticking around the Crown Plaza longer than Conrad had, and that was comforting and reassuring for the Brit. He wanted to stay, even with all the dumb shit the hotel liked to do to them.
Those blue eyes shifted, moving from the earring to Wesley's face. "Are you going to pierce my ear for me if I get one?"
