The strike was quick. If John hadn’t been thinking it was coming he’d of missed it completely. Just barely saw the hands as they emerged to grip his ankles and he knew at that moment it was go time. It was one of the moments he knew it was pointless to fight because Kitty had the upper hand, so now he just had to let her do her thing and it was a strange feeling to say the least. The ways his body turned and molded to a form that passed through the floor and came springing out one level down where Kitty had been waiting to ambush. At least it started how he expected with her having the upper hand.
Landing in a crouch ignoring the nakedness of the pair of them, John stood just quickly as she came at him. John used the wall to help vault himself away from Kitty to give some more room.
“Well, hello, Shadowcat.” He happily used her old moniker. “I didn’t expect you so soon,” he lied with a devious smile. “Lovely to see you.” He didn’t lie. St. John was focusing himself purely on the woman and taking another step away from her. Watching how her muscles moved, which was twice as easy with luck of clothing, John studied his opponent. “So, I’m sure you’re wondering why I asked you here,” John muttered softly taking another step in counter to Kitty and keeping his distance. “But in short, I’m not sure you’re measuring up to go the extra heights I need.” John teased to comment on the short joke had sense been making since her bringing it up. Shifting his stance he prepared for the sparring match that’ll likely come.
“Well, Kitty, let’s get at we now shall we?” This was going to be fun, even if he didn’t want to get kicked in the pills.
