Who: Lily Potter & Sirius Black What: Finally, a friendly face Where: Starting in the lobby When: Backdated to June 28th, after this Status: Closed/Incomplete Warnings: TBC
Lily slipped the phone (if you could really call the tiny silver box that) into her pocket, sliding off the bed and glancing into the mirror. She'd looked better, it had to be said. Dark bags under her eyes. Pale, drawn face showing the lack of sleep. Her hair was tangled on one side and she ran her fingers through it without much hope, quickly giving up and wiping her cheeks to remove the worst of the tear tracks. It would be okay. She could fix this. Taking a deep breath, she tilted her jaw stubbornly and steeled herself before striding to the door.
It didn't take long to get to the lobby. It seemed even quicker with the way her thoughts were spinning. The last couple of days had been exhausting; wave after wave of information crashing down on her until it was a wonder she was still standing. Well, if 'standing' meant hiding in her room, praying and hoping that she'd wake up and find herself back home with Harry and James.
But Sirius was here, and that was something.
Suddenly achingly desperate to see a familiar face, Lily picked up her pace as she approached the doors to the lobby. Stepping inside, she ignored the uneasy swooping feeling that came with entering the giant marble space, instead looking around. He didn't seem to be here yet (Please, please, please be on your way), so she moved tentatively to one of the sofas and lowered herself down, perching anxiously on the edge of the seat. Lily twirled the ends of her hair around her fingers, creating yet more tangles as she waited, bright green gaze darting between the various doorways.
