"I could do with a pillow," Elektra replied. "Or a lap." In the absence of either, she sat up on her elbows, eyeing Xian. Her entrance had lacked the kind of pomp that might be warranted for someone with her abilities. She wasn't even shedding feathers as she walked.
Far from being as disappointed as she might have liked to be, Elektra pushed herself the rest of the way up and swung her booted feet to the floor. Her shoe collection had grown since she'd befriended Bev and made her way into other people's rooms, but she still wore the same boots she had found on her arrival. They were a little bit big, sized for a man's feet more so than hers, but good for kicking things with.
"I didn't know they had coffee in your time," she volleyed. "Shouldn't you be a snob about tea? I hear that's good for telling fortunes, too. And poisoning."
