"How often do you show off your cooking skills?" He asked with a grin, amused by the idea of it, when Sirius had been showing off he'd relied on the bike, or his dashing good looks, or almost anything but cooking.
He grinned proud of himself and his work on the bike as Jamie told him that Hagrid had loved it too. "Good, it deserves to be ridden by someone who loves it." He had loved it after all, no one who felt anything less for it would do as far as he was concerned. Even if that thought hadn't really been in his head when he'd offered it up to Hagrid that night. If he'd had a choice in the matter though that's what he'd have done regardless. He nodded while Jamie assured him that no third war was coming, that Harry had done good work cleaning up after the mess that they'd left him to deal with to the point where he'd seemed to have worked himself into obsolescence. "So what is next for him then?" He asked, "If there's nothing coming, will he ever give it up, try something new maybe?" Harry deserved that, Sirius thought, a chance to do more with his life than just fight and worry. That should have been their job.
He frowned as Jamie told him about Harry's drinking, though he supposed he couldn't blame him for it. Anymore than he could blame James for what he'd been doing since his arrival. "As far as we know. People don't seem entirely sure of that all the time." Though Sirius was fairly certain he had died briefly only to come back again, so maybe there was some truth to that theory.
