Take a boat out on the water? Fine. Ride on a jet ski at top speed? Less fine, but as long as Poe was the one maneuvering it, Armitage could handle a little adrenaline. It was worth it just to see that look of joy on his husband's face. And maybe, just maybe, Armitage was having a good time on that jet ski, too. Surfing, on the other hand.. The ginger probably should have drawn the line at surfing. He already knew how this was going to turn out, long before he ever tried to wrestle his way onto a surfboard. But how could he possibly say no? All Poe had to do was look at him with those big, beautiful brown eyes and Armitage had no choice but to cave immediately. Later on, Armitage would be glad he decided to join Poe. Not necessarily for the sake of the experience because, predictably, he wasn't highly skilled in the art of riding waves. But the surf instructor seemed very keen on helping Poe specifically and Armitage wasn't too fond of the attention she was giving his husband. To be clear, it wasn't that he didn't trust Poe. It was the instructor who was behaving overly friendly. Needless to say, by the third time Armitage had fallen off his surfboard, he was rather grouchy about the whole thing. He paddled his way back up to the surface, pushing his wet hair out of his eyes and glancing around for Poe. |
