"How long has it been?" He asked her gently, "I mean did I-" He started and stopped not sure how to ask her, how far to push without it being too much. Though he was fully aware it had been too much from the very moment she'd found him in a dumpster in the first place. But he had to have things in perspective. "I came to you, right?" He asked her, "We got out." He finished like it was a statement, but he wasn't totally sure either. He hoped she at least had made it past the whole of that night, that he'd gotten her back to his place, that she'd been able to take a breath without that fear hanging over her.
He exhaled slowly, "I'm sorry." He said shaking his head, "This place makes things strange. A few other people are here that I know they're from... well from my future I guess?" He shrugged. "They've lived longer than I have at least, seen things from my life that I haven't gone through yet, I haven't been on that side of it yet." Not until now, where Claire was from months back and the last time he'd seen her had been at the hospital where he'd nearly gotten her killed a second time.
