The door fell all the way open now, letting the other man follow him in if he wanted to. Drinking down at the bar probably was a better idea, but good ideas in general weren't occurring to Conrad at the moment. He immediately switched off the television and sought out an empty glass for his maybe-neighbor.
Conrad didn't remember his name either, but he did recognize him. It was hard not to have encountered most of the guests at some point. The hotel really wasn't all that big and there were only so many common areas. The Brit didn't offer a formal introduction - again, rude, but his mind was fuzzy - but he did offer a healthy shot of whiskey. Conrad himself had been drinking straight from the bottle, which likely made him look about as classy as his room currently did.
"Is it.. normal for people to come back?" He had already read that it was. It was more that Conrad wanted to hear it.
