An answer was better than the silence he'd gotten earlier that had been followed up with a turned up television, or more loud crashes. The guy could have opened his door up, but Mike didn't think it overly rude that he didn't -- it wasn't as if they were friends or Mike was owed anything. Beyond a polite nod here and there if they'd crossed paths, they hadn't even spoken before now.
"Yeah," he said, and couldn't quite help the way his tone came out a little cartoonishly sarcastic, eyebrows raising even if no one was around to see the expression. "I've gotten that impression."
