"Hm, doesn't hurt to ask. I know he usually likes having his own space, but maybe he has a project you can help work on? Having something to occupy your time is important around here. Between those pockets of chaos, the hotel can get pretty quiet. I've gone through two entire sketchbooks in a month, if you can believe it."
Once they were done with the first basement, Steve took Darcy down to the next level, which was filled with equally interesting rooms: a bowling alley, a karaoke room, a hair salon.. An unstaffed hair salon, but the room itself still came in handy.
As they walked, Steve tried his best to understand what Darcy was telling him about Wanda. This must have taken place past his point in time, like what Bucky had gone through with Sam and Zemo. Steve had seen how distraught Wanda had been at Tony's funeral, presumably in part to the loss of Vision. And Steve knew personally what grief could do to someone.
"She created her own reality, huh? Sort of like.. here?" Had Steve known the details, he might have been a little disappointed in Wanda. However, he cared about her far too much to hold something like that against her.
"I have one more basement level to show you and then we can head back upstairs. How are you feeling? I know this is.. sort of a lot to process."
