It had been a long time since Wes had skated but thanks to a little refresher course from Conrad the day before, he was feeling confident enough to try the ice skating rink. He had never tried it, even if he'd always secretly wanted to. Ice skating had seemed to be ...well, in all honesty, something he would have been teased over trying. The bullies at his school had enough reason to mess him up. Wes hadn't wanted to give them one to beat him bloody.
Looking back, he shouldn't have cared and done what he wanted. As a teenager, hell, even as an adult, he'd had a hard time accepting his own confidence. But These days? Wes was all about trying as many new and different things as he possibly could.
Ice skating though looked a little different than rollerskating. For one, the skates were different. Instead of four wheels, he had a single blade on the end of his skates. And for two? The floor was smooth as ice. Literally. He'd just gotten his pair of skates and headed down to put them on when he saw that someone else had come in with the same idea. With a smile and a wave, he gave his hello back. "Sorry, am I interrupting?"
