In terms of greenhouses, this one was not the worse that Severus had seen in his life time. But it was hardly the best either -- Pomona Sprout wasn't any particular friend of his even if they were coworkers, but even he was willing to grudgingly admit she did some true wonders in the herbology department.
This place ... had her touch to it, almost, but in a fresh and less experienced sort of way. Not perfectly ideal, but since Snape was scoping out what may or may not be useful for later, he was a little less concerned than he might usually be.
Unfortunately, the greenhouse also appeared to come with chatty company. Which was quite possibly the last thing Severus wanted.
