Regulus and Sabrina
Regulus had every reason to hate her. Had she been in his position, Sabrina wouldn't have thought twice about getting out of there. It was rather amazing that he stayed long enough to hear her out, and she didn't want to waste this chance to start making amends.
If he wanted to leave after hearing her apology then Regulus had that right. Her hands remained where he could see them as a sign that she intended him no harm.
And when Regulus actually seemed to listen, it was all Sabrina could do to not smile just a bit wider at the realization that he was giving her a shot.
She nodded at his summary of why she was apologizing. "Regardless of that, there was no reason for me to flip out on you like I did. It's not your fault that you're different than the person I knew."
And really, when she got back to her room and thought about it, she knew she was in the wrong.
"I know it might not mean much to you coming from me," Sabrina started, hoping to show Regulus she understood. "But I get that."
She moved slightly closer to him before speaking again. She didn't want to tell everyone the story she was about to recount. "When I first got here, I thought it was a prank some of the other witches in my coven who didn't like me were pulling. Or, that it was all part of a test by my rival for my fathers' throne to prove I wasn't worthy. It took me a little while to feel comfortable opening up to people, so I can only imagine how it's been for you. And I'm sure having some brat heal you, try to be nice, and then suddenly get all defensive and start telling you things she knew about you, well, that probably didn't help."
