Taking the offered seat, he took a deep breath from the steam of the tea. The floral scent made him smile with the inner memory of his mother. He gave a soft scoff as the cookies were placed out before them. It was all a very nice gesture on Yenn's part to have such a spread for a casual conversation.
"My nightmares come from my Shine-" he paused. It was still strange speaking so openly about it, but then, here he was speaking with someone with magic of their own. "-my abilities that show me the future and sometimes the past..." There was so much more than that, so much more he could do. Hell, he had changed his eye colour so he did not look so much like his father with his Shine, so limiting it to precognition and post-cognition seemed like the tip of the iceberg, but it was those portions that made it hard to stay asleep.
"My world doesn't really have potions, but I am an alcoholic so I can't have anything with an alcohol-base which I can never be sure that these offered potions won't have," he offered as insight. "It's not that I want my Shine to stop-" Again. "-there's just a lot that goes on beneath the surface of this hotel and I would like to have a full night's sleep from time to time."
