Is there a doctor in the house? Preferably one that my dad doesn't think his children have bribed to conceal lingering medical conditions I just need someone to glance at my insides so my dad doesn't have an aneurism every time I try to take the stairs.

What I'm hearing is that we can remove an eye, or a literal limb, but hair-cutting is entirely off the table.

I don't know if it's really so much of a physical issue anymore. It's more that my dad believes there's still a physical issue to worry about. But then again, I guess I don't really know. I haven't cracked my own chest open to take a look at my heart lately.

I don't have to crack open your chest . I have a spell that can tell if you have a condition , and even if that doesn't show anything I can just cast another to rid you of anything you might have that I couldn't see .

Why would I lie ? If there is something wrong I can fix it . I wouldn't leave you sick . And if there's nothing wrong that's good , isn't it ? I can cure you of all conditions anyway , just in case there was something else .

Oh, Uncle Tommy mentioned you... Are you a coroner? That's probably a bit more appropriate since I'm. Dead. Recently undead. Whatever.

A few years back, this cult pumped me full of steroids and sent me out to kill some people and then my heart exploded. And while the process to resurrect me should have repaired my heart muscle, my dad is psychotic and doesn't believe that it's actually healthy. Or even moderately borderline healthy.

Yeesh...yeah, damaged cardiac tissue like that is bad news. BUT, I've got to say, I'm a little new on the whole undead thing. What magic can do, how you're animated, if and how you can die, that sort of thing. But I could take a look? Or...probably more like a listen. Unless you have super healing or something and don't mind me getting up to my elbows in your chest cavity.

I don't understand the magic of the Lazarus Pit. I'm not sure anyone really does. It's just a thing that works. I don't really know how my healing works either, but I suppose I could ask my dad. I know it doesn't regrow back limbs and it won't bring you back if you're dead, but it seems to kick in pretty quick for most other things.

Listening would probably be best right now. Until we know for sure. Not that I'd mind someone shoving their arm into my chest. Kinda sounds like fun.

It's because the unimaginative can't understand how anyone would be comfortable with death unless they had some weird attraction to it, instead of assuming that those who are comfortable with death have just emotionally evolved past the correlation between corpses and disease.
