Duncan stepped up with a plate and set it down on the counter in front of Regulus after the toast was done. "Here." HE motioned toward the toast then thought better of it and reached around the man to grab it from the toaster. If he hadn't known how to use it, he likely wouldn't realise how hot it could get. He glanced around for the jam and spoon then retrieved them for Regulus, setting them on the counter without a word.
He checked the tea and removed the bags before pushing a cup over at Regulus. Duncan arched a brow at the mention of house-elves. He had no idea what they were. Just one more thing that he didn't know or understand in this world. "Well you should learn. There won't always be someone here to make it for you when you want it." He took a careful sip from his cup and then eyed its contents. This was not good. But he wouldn't waste it.
The question caught Duncan off guard and he thought about it a moment before shaking his head. "No. Do you?" He'd heard about people using magic but he'd not yet seen any that he was aware of. Though he suspected his very existence could be considered a kind of magic by someone who didn't understand all the particulars of how it happened.
