Diana was beginning to notice something of an unconscious pattern about this place, a nebulous divide that she found interesting. It was getting easier to tell who was new, or at least, newer than her, from those that had been there longer. Anakin said Jedi the same way she might’ve said Amazon, and he’d been wise enough to explain. Perhaps he knew more of this place than she did, and so now Diana was doubly interested.
“I am pleased to meet you.” Polite, as always, but Diana did not offer her hand. That was more of a human thing, and not truly a habit she’d grown up with, so it was usually a belated thought rather than a first instinct. Still, there was a friendly smile on her face, because Diana could be nothing but friendly. At least at a first meeting. “And that is very interesting. We do not have Jedi in my world, that I know of.”
Anakin had said galaxy, not Earth, which was Diana’s purview. If Kal could come from her world and have come from Krypton, she supposed there was no reason there might not also be Jedi out there somewhere. It did not truly matter, for Diana had been informed that she would return exactly where and when she had been plucked from her life, with no memory of these people... presuming she was allowed to leave at all. She did not like the feeling that thought gave her, and so she chose to continue the conversation, instead.
“I hope I’m not disturbing you. I was trained with shield and spear and sword in my youth, and some of your movements seemed applicable.” Diana had also been trained on horseback and in the ocean and with bow and arrow and lasso, but she had not been giving Anakin a resume. Simply an explanation, and so she left those unspoken. Besides, she was fairly sure a lightsaber was dangerous to her no matter her parentage, and that alone made Anakin somewhat fascinating.
