"You were doing good, though. I mean, you were making a difference," Molly replied, as though Peter needed the consolation. He didn't seem like he did, and to be honest Molly was terrible at giving pep talks. But if his enthusiasm for whatever Peter was or did helped in any way then he would absolutely keep it up.
"That's a very fair assessment, have you ever considered a life in politics?" he teased. "Very diplomatic." The tease was only emphasised by the expression on his face, one of very open admiration at the skills Peter listed. "You're-" Molly paused, trying to think of what he was going to say that wasn't a very blatant come on because no, he could and he would behave himself. "-I've never met anyone like you. In a good way. You could be doing anything with those kind of powers." He shrugged, unable to find the right way to conclude that thought without going over the top.
And yet Peter kept giving him things to admire and Molly was really just lapping it up. "It's strong then, huh? I mean, I guess it could be worse, you could be making it organically," he grinned, still looking at the web-slinger as though it might give up its secrets. "You have to make the web too?" Molly finally looked up, smiling. "So you're super smart, you're a great guy, and you have all these talents? My heart can't take it, Peter."
