Loki was not incorrect in that assumption, as far as Diana was concerned. Knowledge was power, and even the humans knew it. Hence the saying, which she admitted didn’t quite have the same oomph as the fact itself. “No, I meant I should have spoken to them personally, when you...” Diana didn’t want to talk about it, had absolutely no interest in choking those words out again. In point of fact, she hadn’t actually said them aloud yet. It had been part of why she had messaged Natasha instead of going to find her. She couldn’t make herself say it.
“Anyway, we are very silly, it seems.” Diana did not seem too concerned about that, and why would she? It had all worked out fine in the end. And even as regarded Thor’s death, she felt a little bit of guilt; Natasha had warned her that the hotel brought them back sometimes, and Diana had assumed that she would not be half so lucky.
And yet here they were, in this silly human roller rink, with their hands linked and this even sillier smile on her face... but she didn’t mind that, either.
