Diana didn't have a similar foundation, but she also wouldn't need it. Even without that, she was one of the kindest, most loving people he'd ever met. Thor saw so much good in Diana, but he wasn't blind to her flaws. Like him, she was stubborn. She was never quite reckless, the way he was, but she wasn't always the most cautious either. At least, not with him or not where danger was involved and protecting others became a goal. It was admirable almost to a fault.
Their eyes locked again and the deal was sealed when she said those words. He would never forget them, or her, even if he returned to his own world and was forced to go without her. He'd promised that to himself in that moment. Then he felt her lips brush past his again and in the moment that followed, he heled her get to her feet.
"You really can't?" He questioned skeptically, "After everything?"
