"I promise I'll let you know, but it isn't as though I've got anything else to do," Gilmore shrugged. "If I had a business to run I'd probably draw a line somewhere, but all I have is time to make things. And time to spend with people," he smiled. "So don't worry about that. I've always been very good at managing myself."
Gilmore nodded his head. "The magic uses energy in my world. Physical energy. I suppose you could look at it like the strength of a spell costs a certain amount of energy, and you only have a certain quota before you need to rest. I can push myself a bit further because of how my magic manifests, but it's quite tiring," he explained.
"I'd like to learn more about your school, we always seemed to get distracted by things when we spoke about it before. And you said there were other magical schools?" Gilmore asked, holding onto Theo as they wandered back to the hotel. "Or you had some kind of sporting thing with them? Tell me more about that!" Theo's world was endlessly fascinating to him, and the things Theo had gone through at such a young age- within his school - it was remarkable that he was as sane and well rounded as he was.
